Impact

  The G7 Oasis Project is built on the foundation of community participation. From its inception, residents have been involved in identifying the needs of their neighborhoods and shaping solutions. The new kids’ playground will be designed with input from parents and children, ensuring it reflects the desires and aspirations of the community. This collaborative approach encourages local ownership and pride, making the playground a cherished space where families can gather, and children can thrive in a safe and joyful environment. 

   Many families in the south suburban areas live in homes without basic safety equipment, putting them at risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and theft. The G7 Oasis Project will provide new smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and security cameras to over 100 households, prioritizing the safety of vulnerable families. By distributing this life-saving equipment before the next harsh Chicago winter, the project will help protect lives and reduce the likelihood of home disasters.

These costs often lead to missed payments, damaged credit, and mounting debt, threatening their long-term goals, including homeownership.
